44 years is a very, very long maturation. The angels have had more than one sip!
The angelshare for a Hogshead 250L would be 2% a year on a average: after 44 years 100L is left over!
Our dear angels took 60%!
The result as you may expect is a sublimely smooth and rich, powerful single malt in its own right.
One of my favourites.
